I Slammed It, First Day

For those who have been keeping track, I just started a Writer's Challenge yesterday. My goal is to hit 500 words a day. After I sat down for about an hour or two, I was able to crank out a phenomenal (to me at least) 1436 words. I was blown away. If I manage to keep up that pace for the next 30 days, I'll most likely be done with my first draft by the end of the month.

I am so jazzed about this though. When I was writing yesterday, I was just electified. The fingers were crawling over the keys without much thought at all, and somehow the story just made its way onto the page. This challenge has really been a true motivator. So keep cheering for me. I really do appreciate everyone's support and encouragement.

*Cheers* Whoop whoop! I love when that happens. It's nice when writing flows that easily. :)

(Haha, my word verification is "manic")

Eric, you little star! Wow, getting quite the following now eh? I think setting yourself a word target every day is a brilliant thing to do. It really moves the story along and brings its own momentum with it. Thrilled for you that the muse is playing ball.

Thanks for all your support on the blogs. You're a pal and a half. :) If you ever pop across to 'goodread', look me up and I'll add you to my friend list.

Keep up the brilliant work!
