A Couple Things On A Monday

First off I must apologize to Christy over at Juvenescence. She awarded me a Kreativ Blogger award, which I am very thankful for. I was supposed to put a post up about this on Friday, but I either forgot or just got lazy (you pick). I also am going to refrain from following all the tenets of this award (that of picking seven other lucky awardees to give it to), but I have a good reason for this. I had such a hard time trying to decide on ONLY five people for the last award, and I just don't want to go through the emotional turmoil again. Yes, I do take these awards very seriously (even if they are meant to be just for fun), and I am surrounded by so many talented people, it's too hard to pick from the crowd.

I will follow the other requirement though, that of stating my seven favorite things:

1. Tickle wars with my youngest son.

2. Watching my oldest son become a man.

3. Movie night with my wife.

4. Doughnuts (particularly long johns).

5. Writing a scene that makes my skin crawl.

6. Playing video games (yep, still a gamer at heart).

5. Riding my motorcycle through the mountains.

The other thing I wanted to mention is that ResAliens is running a contest, and you can win a copy of Offworld by Robin Parrish. Go here for the details.
Finally, I'm in editor hell today (again) as all the writers I edit for at Brighthub.com will be submitting their articles (which should have already been submitted days or weeks ago). This is going to be a busy end of month.

Is it Monday already? That explains my headache.

Now I want a doughnut...and I can never decide if I should spell it as donut.

Good luck with all of your work, Eric. Hang in there.

Nice list of seven things, Eric. Look at them closely, says a lot of nice things about you. I see: soft hearted, a good dad and family man, adventurous, and a kid at heart..AND, a little dash of rebel tossed in. See how revealing this kind of thing is. Good luck on all the edits.

Best Regards, Galen

Congratulations on the award, Eric! And I love the list you've posted instead -- what an inspirational replacement. It has made my day.

Cheers!
